Cerberus
In different sources, the number of heads of the son of Echidna (a giant half-woman half-snake) and Typhon (a powerful giant) varied from one to one hundred. In late Antiquity came to a single version - three heads. Three heads as a symbol of the past, present and future. As a guardian, Cerberus can symbolize the barrier between consciousness and subconsciousness.
In Greek mythology, Cerberus stands guard at the gates of the underworld, protecting the entrance to the world of Hades, so that the living did not enter the realm of the dead, and the dead did not leave it. There were only a few ways to subdue this mighty creature and remain unharmed: honey cakes (impregnated with sleeping pills when the living travel), the captivating music and singing of Orpheus, and the mighty power of Hercules (which is quite metaphorical from the perspective of the possibility of passing from consciousness to subconsciousness and back again).
In the early myths, Cerberus wags his tail affably at the shadows passing into Hades and devours those who try to escape. He is a vigilant guardian, protecting the harmony between the world of light and the world of shadows. Is he a negative character since he bloodthirstily devours rebellious souls? We think he fulfills his duty as the guarantor of the balance and unity of time...
This servitor is the embodiment of the strength, power, and devotion of the legendary three-headed guardian, who is summoned for special tasks involving protection, questing, or order.
· The first head represents vigilance, with a penetrating gaze that sees through darkness and lies;
· The second head symbolizes strength, able to break through any barriers;
· The third head expresses wisdom and strategy, whispering to the owner of the best solutions;
· Cerberus's tail resembles a long, wriggling whip of fire, capable of throwing off enemies or creating a protective barrier.
He is unquestioningly loyal to his owner and possesses a sophisticated intelligence that allows him to understand not only commands, but also his owner's intentions. When calm, he is as still as a statue, but when he feels threatened, he turns into a deadly defender. He does not tolerate lies and can easily detect betrayal. Cerberus can temporarily open portals, allowing his master to travel between dimensions or take refuge in a safe zone, create a magical barrier around his master that reflects attacks and neutralizes spells. The barrier becomes stronger if all three heads are involved. Cerberus unleashes a stream of magical flame, destroying enemies and cleansing the space of darkness and curses. One of the heads can gaze into the past, present or future, revealing secrets and warning of impending danger...
